BROTHERS BRING FRESH APPROACH TO LOCAL FOOD SCENE
A new Leamington pizzeria, is taking a fresh approach to pizza delivery by keeping sustainability, quality and great British produce at its core.
Birtelli’s is an independent pizza delivery start up on Clarendon Avenue, whose founders, brothers Jim and Jag Biryah, hope to roll out the model across the region.
The launch follows the brothers’ identification of a gap in the pizza delivery market for high-quality, artisan food that uses locally-sourced and British food wherever possible and runs a fleet of environmentally-friendly delivery scooters and cars.
The menu is overseen by executive chef Paul Foster, who has previously worked as head chef at Mallory Court and sous chef at Nottingham’s Michelin-starred Sat Bains.
Jim Biryah said: “We really wanted to redefine the meaning of a pizza delivery service, moving away from how larger chains work and really focus on making pizza as healthy, natural and honest as possible.
“With Paul overseeing our menus and working with us to find superior suppliers, we can make sure we deliver restaurant quality service and food to our customers.
Jonathan Blood, a surveyor at ehB Commercial, who found the property for the brothers, said: “Sustainability and British produce are at the heart of Birtelli’s and is really what makes this a different approach to what has been seen before. They believe in customers knowing where their food comes from and they use local and British sources, such as butcher Aubrey Allen and the Purity Brewing Company for beer and cider.
“They have even invested in a fleet of zero emission delivery scooters to minimise the impact on the environment, and believe they are one of, if not the first, independents in the county to do so at this level.”
The 505 sq ft pizzeria opens between 4:30pm – 11pm daily, serving up stone baked pizzas, salads, charcuteries, mezzes and sides.
“We’re thrilled to see Birtelli’s thriving and receiving such positive feedback so soon after opening. Jim and Jag have transformed the premises over the last few months into an establishment that reflects their drive and passion. We wish them all the best for the future,” said Mr Blood.

£6 MILLION INVESTMENT SEES SWISS SANITARY GIANT MOVE INTO UK HEADQUARTERS IN WARWICK
Following a £6 million investment, Swiss sanitary product supplier Geberit has moved into its new state-art-of-the-art UK Headquarters in Warwick.
The newly-built offices at Tournament Fields are double the size of the company’s original building and will the base for 82 business, marketing, IT, HR, R&D, customer support and sales employees.
The work on building was undertaken by Tournament Fields owner Sackville Developments, part of the CWC Group, and saw the creation of a 25,000 sqft building. The design incorporates the growth of Geberit following its recent acquisition of Staffordshire business Twyford and allows for future expansion.
Geberit UK Managing Director Mark Larden said: “We are incredibly excited to take up residence in our new headquarters and this definitely marks a significant milestone in our company development.
“It was only eight years ago that we moved into our other purpose-built building on Tournament Fields, having relocated the business from Kent. However, thanks to our strong growth trajectory we outgrew that premises in just a few short years and we were more or less bursting at the seams just before we moved.
“I’m delighted that the whole team is freshly enthused by the fantastic new building and critically we have plenty of room to grow; which is important because we have ambitious plans.”
Paul Shanley, director at Sackville Developments, said: “We are very pleased that Geberit’s new headquarters has been completed on time, within budget and look forward to seeing staff move in later this month.”

Simon Hain, a director of ehB Commercial, said: “We’ve gone full circle really as it was us who found their current headquarters, Geberit House and now their new one.”
