£6 MILLION INVESTMENT SEES SWISS SANITARY GIANT MOVE INTO UK HEADQUARTERS IN WARWICK
Following a £6 million investment, Swiss sanitary product supplier Geberit has moved into its new state-art-of-the-art UK Headquarters in Warwick.
The newly-built offices at Tournament Fields are double the size of the company’s original building and will the base for 82 business, marketing, IT, HR, R&D, customer support and sales employees.
The work on building was undertaken by Tournament Fields owner Sackville Developments, part of the CWC Group, and saw the creation of a 25,000 sqft building. The design incorporates the growth of Geberit following its recent acquisition of Staffordshire business Twyford and allows for future expansion.
Geberit UK Managing Director Mark Larden said: “We are incredibly excited to take up residence in our new headquarters and this definitely marks a significant milestone in our company development.
“It was only eight years ago that we moved into our other purpose-built building on Tournament Fields, having relocated the business from Kent. However, thanks to our strong growth trajectory we outgrew that premises in just a few short years and we were more or less bursting at the seams just before we moved.
“I’m delighted that the whole team is freshly enthused by the fantastic new building and critically we have plenty of room to grow; which is important because we have ambitious plans.”
Paul Shanley, director at Sackville Developments, said: “We are very pleased that Geberit’s new headquarters has been completed on time, within budget and look forward to seeing staff move in later this month.”
To ensure the company could make the most of the opportunities the larger headquarters offer, EHB Commercial assisted Geberit in securing the building but have also negotiated the disposal of their former impressive headquarters.
Simon Hain, a director of ehB Commercial, said: “We’ve gone full circle really as it was us who found their current headquarters, Geberit House and now their new one.”

Jonathan Blood, assistant surveyor at ehB Commercial, said: “Situated just south of the River Leam, this attractive listed building is in a prime location of the town, just a short walk from Leamington town centre and the train station.

A subsidiary of Suez Environmental, the UK based organisation provides expert and cost-effective recycling and waste management to businesses and local authorities across the country, and has now been selected to handle waste management across Warwickshire.
Already trading from nine sites across Warwickshire and the West Midlands, Suez has shown further commitment to the area with the signing of a 13-year lease on a 5,044 sq ft industrial unit at Farmer Ward Road, which will see them take on the Kenilworth property until 2029.
The new premises, which achieved a rent of £28,500 per annum, was secured by Leamington-based commercial property consultants, ehB Commercial.
Jonathan Blood, assistant surveyor at ehB Commercial, said: “Suez is a fantastic covenant business and any landlord would be happy to have them as an occupier. ESTABLISHED COVENTRY ESTATE AGENCY COMES TO KENILWORTH
Coventry-based Elizabeth Davenport Estate Agency has now opened its doors at a second location in Kenilworth following an extended period of success.
Having experienced substantial growth over the past three years, the established agency, which specialises in residential sales and lettings – will now be operating from Kenilworth’s Warwick Road, in addition to its current base on Warwick Row in Coventry.
Nick Luntley, director at Elizabeth Davenport, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening the second branch of our business, especially at a time when many organisations in our industry are suffering.
“At a time like this, it’s more important than ever for our customers to feel that they are in safe hands so our current team, along with some new faces, will all be working across both branches.
“My colleague Mark Walmsley, one of the other directors at Elizabeth Davenport, has lived in Kenilworth and I grew up here, so we have great local knowledge of the area. This will be extremely beneficial when it comes to advising clients and bringing properties to market.”
Elizabeth Davenport’s new premises was secured by commercial estate agency ehB, which specialises in buying, selling and leasing properties for businesses across Warwickshire.
Jonathan Blood, assistant surveyor at ehB Commercial, said: “Elizabeth Davenport Estate Agency seems to be going from strength to strength at the moment, and we’re pleased to have been able to assist with their expansion. I’m sure the team will have great success in Kenilworth.”

SEMCOM OFFERS ANNUAL LEASE ON WARWICK OFFICE SPACE
International technology company Semcon is offering Warwickshire businesses the chance to lease office space at its headquarters on Tournament Fields.
Having secured the premises for Semcom in April this year, ehB will now look to find a tenant for the 3,775 sq ft, open plan offices – which are surplus to the needs of the Swedish technology giant.
Torsten Sundin, country manager at Semcon Product Information UK, said: “We had outgrown our facility at Kineton, where we were separated across several buildings. At our new location we are all under one roof, which has been great for our staff as it has provided an opportunity for us to work together more easily.”
Nicholas Evans, director at ehB Commercial, added: “Semcom has made fantastic use of the new premises but still has space to fill, so they are looking to lease the offices out to a Warwickshire business in search of a home.
“I’m confident that the site’s location, with its close proximity to the M40, will be desirable to a variety of tenants.”
The office space at Semcom is available to lease for £75,000 per annum on an all inclusive basis.

EHB COMMERCIAL SELECTED TO BRING STRATFORD SITE TO MARKET
Warwickshire’s leading commercial property consultant, ehB Commercial, has been selected to bring Stratford’s Oxalis House, Masons Road, to market.
The former headquarters of UK safety technology manufacturer, the Oxalis Group, now part of Eaton Corporation plc, comprises an 18,000 sq ft industrial unit – complete with office and industrial space, as well as a detached storage facility and secured yard – making it the perfect acquisition for large organisations in a variety of sectors.
Simon Hain, director at ehB Commercial, said: “Commercial sales in Stratford are going extremely well at the moment, despite the initial worries caused by the Brexit vote, and we are thrilled to have added Oxalis House to our growing list of units in the area.
“A large property such as this is sure to attract big-name businesses, resulting in a boost for the local economy and even potential job creation. I’m confident the sale will mean great things for the area.”
ehB Commercial is also currently offering office suites of varying sizes on nearby Timothy’s Bridge Road ranging from 858, to 2,260 sq ft at Cygnet Court, and a 1,512 sq ft unit at The Courtyard.

LASER CLINIC FOR LEAMINGTON’S PARK STREET
Leamington’s first high end independent laser clinic has now opened on Park Street.
Set up by business partners Amber Price and Adam Finney, Skintelligence offers everything from skin tightening procedures and rejuvenation to the removal of hair, pigment, vessels and tattoos.
Employing three full time staff with more than 25 years of combined experience, the 1,000 sq ft clinic, which was secured by local estate agency ehB Commerical, has already proven popular with visitors.
Miss Price, who currently lives in Coventry but decided to open her clinic in Leamington after spotting a gap in the market, said: “We haven’t been open for long but we’ve already seen a steady number of visitors through our doors, which isn’t surprising as we’re the first high end independent skin clinic in the town.
“There are a number of other laser/IPL operators in Leamington, as well as chains such as SK:N, but we’re the first independent clinic to offer such a wide range of specialist medical grade aesthetic services under one roof – especially when it comes to our tattoo removal department which can remove any colour ink – something which is quite unique in our industry.
The Park Street premises has also already attracted the services of a self-employed nurse prescriber who offers injectable and medical rejuvenation procedures, an experienced beauty therapist, and the UKs largest micropigmentation training provider.
Simon Hain, director at ehB Commercial, said: “Skintelligence offers a real unique service and I’m sure Amber and the team will do very well in Leamington.
“Amber had actually visited the space on Park Street several times in its former guise as a beauty salon, but initially looked into alternative locations as she thought the premises would be out of her price range. She was thrilled when she found out the rent was under £20,000 per annum – a great price for a space of this size.”

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY DIRECTOR SCOOPS THE HONOURS
A director of a Leamington firm of commercial property consultants has triumphed in a national awards competition, winning the title of Warwickshire’s ‘Deal Maker of the Year’.
Simon Hain, a director of ehB Commercial, is the fifth winner from the firm to have lifted the trophy in the six-year history of the competition, which is run by leading trade journal Estates Gazette.
The firm itself has also been named ‘Most Active Agent of the Year’ four times.
Mr Hain said: “This is a great honour for me but also for the team as a whole, who have worked very hard through some tough times.
“We have managed to keep busy over the last few years despite the economic situation. We have worked hard to match prospective tenants and buyers with the right property in a market with constricting supply. A broad spectrum of buildings in all commercial property sectors means we can provide a comprehensive service, covering large and small. We pride ourselves on getting the deals done, however lucrative.
“We have successfully handled sales and lettings of all sorts of commercial property, from the single office and corner shop to large office blocks and extensive warehouses,” he said, adding that he thought the South Warwickshire’s commercial property market was currently looking positive.
Over 12 months ehB Commercial carried out deals with a value approaching £16.3 million freehold and lease deals with a £2.3 million rent roll, comprising industrial and warehouse units, offices and retail outlets.

NEW CAFE BRINGS JAPANESE HOME COOKING TO LEAMINGTON
A new Leamington café is bringing the best of Japanese home cooking to Warwickshire thanks to the culinary skills of owners and managers Nana Hirayama and Mary-Jane Bond.
Nana’s Japanese Café has been open for less than a month but business at the Regent Street eatery is already booming.
The 647 sq ft café, which was secured by Leamington-based estate agency ehB Commerical, opens 11am-3pm Monday to Saturday, and provides traditional Japanese dishes with a modern flair.
Mary-Jane said: “Nana is originally from Tokyo and I’m from Nagoya so we both have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to Japanese cooking.
“We wanted to offer our diners dishes which they could expect if they visited us in a Japanese home, so we created a menu with recipes which have been passed down by our families, alongside western dishes with an oriental flair.
“So far business has been going extremely well – we very rarely see any food left on the plates when they come back to the kitchen.”
Nana and Mary-Jane both live in the Cotswolds but make the daily commute to Leamington due to their love of the town.
Nana said: “I attended Coventry University and fell in love with Leamington. The vibrant selection of small independent businesses has made it the perfect place to open our café and we already have a number of regulars, which is fantastic.”
Jonathan Blood, assistant surveyor at ehB Commercial, said: “We’re thrilled to hear that Nana’s Japanese Café is already thriving. Regent Street is a perfect location for the café and I’m sure the business will continue to be extremely successful during the remainder of the three-year lease.”
